YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Liberty Partnership is a model for youth development and school partnerships that I began with Fern Kahn at Bank Street College in 1989. Now in its 38th year, Liberty Leads continues as a thriving and effective learning community in the afterschool and summer space, that provides educative experiences for black and brown students seeking opportunities to develop and grow as learners and people. The multimedia education story Abecedarian captures the narrative of the Liberty program from the perspective of its original participants.
